Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
We at Essence strive to give you the best care possible and reserve this time specifically for you, and it can be difficult to fill a time slot in less than 24 hours. No shows and late cancellations will be subjected to a 50% fee for this reason.
Thank you for your understanding.
New Patients
To secure your initial appointment we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% with a credit card. This deposit will be applied to your payment at the end of service. This fee will also go towards any no-shows or late cancellations.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time to your scheduled appointment.
Your full appointment time is not guaranteed if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment.
Payment Policy
We do not accept insurance at this time (even United Health Care). If your insurance does cover acupuncture services, we will happily send you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance. This is no guarantee that the insurance will cover any or all of the fee and it is up to you to call and confirm coverage of services.
All payments are due at time of service. We accept cash, credit cards and most HSA/FSA cards. A credit card must be kept on file for purposes described above in our cancellation policy.
Packages Policy
Packages offer you the ability to get a discount on treatments by buying sessions in bulk. We offer 3, 5 and 10 session packages. We ask that the sessions be redeemed within a reasonable time frame of 6-12 months.
Refunds may be given when needed, however the price refunded will not include the initial discount.
E.g. In a 5 pack, each session with a discount would be $95, however when issuing a refund, any used sessions will be charged as the full cost of $100.
Memberships Policy
Joining a membership requires a 3 month minimum. After the initial 3 months, you may cancel the membership at anytime.
Refunds can only be given to those who have completed the 3 month minimum and have not used a service within the billing cycle.
